About Josh Wilson
Josh was born in the Midwest and developed an early connection to travel and visual storytelling through years of family road trips across the United States. Those formative experiences instilled a lasting appreciation for how light, landscape, and atmosphere can evoke memory, emotion, and a sense of escape.
Now based in San Diego, Josh has lived in St. Louis, London, and Nashville, and has traveled extensively throughout Europe and beyond. This global perspective continues to shape the refined coastal aesthetic that defines his work—imagery characterized by natural light, compositional balance, and a timeless sensibility rooted in the rhythm of seaside living.
Founded in 2021, Josh Wilson Prints is the culmination of Josh’s ongoing exploration of the world’s most compelling coastal destinations. His portfolio spans iconic and emerging locations across Southern California, Hawaii, Italy, Greece, Spain, France, and Australia, reflecting an expanding international presence while maintaining a cohesive, elevated visual language.
Josh’s work has been featured through collaborations with respected galleries and design partners in the United States and abroad, including Helm+Oar, Midnight Station, Urban Frames, Dare Collective (Spain), Sonic Editions (U.K.), and Australian-based galleries Style My Wall and Art Traveller. His photographs are collected by private clients, interior designers, and hospitality spaces seeking artwork that feels both aspirational and enduring.
Through his photography, Josh creates imagery that invites pause—art that captures the quiet luxury of coastal environments and brings a sense of calm, nostalgia, and elegance into the spaces it inhabits.

All of our artwork is printed with exceptional care using professional-grade fine art papers.
Unframed prints are printed on a luxurious 300gsm cotton paper known for its rich texture, deep color saturation, and archival quality. This acid-free paper offers a museum-grade feel and beautifully showcases every detail of the image.

What kind of frames do you use?
All frames are custom-made by hand in the United States using premium natural hardwood and ship ready to hang. Frames are available in black, white, or natural wood to complement any interior. Each frame includes UV-blocking acrylic and a paper backing to protect against dust.
SMALL, MEDIUM & LARGE
Small, Medium, and Large sizes feature a 2.5” mat-board for a classic look, with a 3/4” face and 1.5” depth.
GIANT, OVERSIZED & COLLECTOR
Giant, Oversized, and Collector prints are framed with a printed fine art border around the image in a premium shadowbox frame. Shadowbox walls create depth by setting the print apart from the acrylic glass, offering an elevated, gallery-style presentation. These frames have a 1 1/8” face and are 1.5” deep.
What is your Exhibition size like?
The Exhibition Print is our most luxurious offering, designed to enhance your art collection with a museum-quality presentation. Printed on heavyweight 300GSM fine art paper, this exclusive piece features a handcrafted shadowbox frame and a pedestal-mounted print, creating a striking, dimensional effect that gives the impression of the artwork floating within the frame. Due to the size of these prints, they cannot be shipped via UPS or FedEx and will be delivered through a private “white glove” service. Orders for this size are not finalized until I receive your phone number and email address, as the courier will need to contact you to coordinate delivery. You will receive a message from me once the order is confirmed.
Are the prints mounted?
Yes, all prints are dry mounted before being framed. Dry mounting is the process of securing the art to a foam board to prevent movement within the frame. A low-grade heat press is used to secure art to an archival dry-adhesive mounting board. Dry-mounted art is smooth, flat, and wrinkle-free.

What kind of camera do you use?
Most of my photos are captured using the Canon EOS R5, a high-resolution digital camera known for its incredible detail and color accuracy. Some images in the collection, however, were shot on older digital cameras or 35mm film. Film photos may include natural grain, which isn’t a flaw—it’s part of their charm. That subtle texture adds a nostalgic, timeless character that beautifully complements the vintage-inspired aesthetic of the work.
