Day 1: Touchdown in Positano

After our dream-come-true wedding in Lake Como, we finally made it to Positano, and it was love at first sight. The colorful cliffside buildings, the sparkling sea, and the vibrant atmosphere—it was all so dreamy. We checked into our charming hotel, then set out to explore the town. For dinner, we kept it simple with pizza and wine at a cozy local spot. The flavors were out of this world and the perfect way to kick off our Amalfi Coast adventure.

Day 2: Vespa Tour of the Amalfi Coast

Day two started with an adrenaline rush as we rented a Vespa to explore Positano and beyond. Riding through the winding coastal roads was pure freedom (once we acclimated to the driving there!). We briefly stopped at D'Arienzo Beach Club to admire the views, but our main focus was sightseeing on the Vespa, eventually making our way to the Miramalfi Hotel. There we had lunch, a Spritz, and a swim in their cliffside pool with breathtaking views. That was easily the highlight of our little excursion. After that we headed back to our hotel for a little rest and to freshen up for the evening.

Dinner was an epic seafood feast at Il Pirata, an enchanting restaurant by the sea. The fresh seafood, unique setting, and drinks in their unique cave bar made it an unforgettable night.

Day 3: Capri Day Trip

Day three was all about Capri. We hopped on a morning ferry to Marina Grande and wandered through the charming streets, heading to Da Luigi ai Faraglioni. This beach club, nestled among the iconic Faraglioni rocks, was our haven for the day. We relaxed, swam, and enjoyed a delicious lunch with unbeatable views.

Back in Positano that evening, we had dinner at La Tagliata. This farm-to-table restaurant served us one of the best meals of our trip. The endless courses of fresh, local dishes were incredible, and the view from the terrace was just as amazing.

Day 4: Boat Day around Capri

We couldn’t resist another day in Capri, so we rented a little boat and took to the waters ourselves. This was hands-down one of the highlights of our trip. We cruised around the island, stopping to swim in secluded coves, and shared a kiss under the Faraglioni rocks—which is said to bring good luck.

We also tried a unique local treat: lemon sorbet served inside a carved-out Amalfi lemon. It was so refreshing and delicious, perfect for the hot sunny day. That night, back in Positano, we kept it casual with dinner at our new favorite roadside pizza place next to our hotel. It was the perfect low-key end to a fantastic day.

Day 5: Surprise in Ravello

Our plans took an unexpected twist when we realized that we were due to check out of our hotel in Positano, but our hotel in Rome was booked for the next day (not that night), and our Positano hotel was full. Luckily we found a last-minute Airbnb in Ravello. The slower pace and quaint charm were a nice contrast to the hustle and bustle of Positano, so it actually turned out to be a very pleasant mistake.

We explored Villa Cimprone, with its stunning gardens and panoramic views. In the town square, we sipped aperitifs, watched a thunder storm roll through the mountains. Dinner was another exquisite meal, followed by late-night gelato and people watching in the square. It was such a chill and beautiful end to our Amalfi Coast adventure.

Day 6: Roman Holiday

On our last day, we packed up and headed to Rome. We managed a whirlwind tour of the Coliseum, the Spanish Steps, and a few other main attractions before our early flight the next day.

Our Amalfi Coast trip was an amazing mix of adventure, relaxation, and unforgettable moments. From the charming streets of Positano to the stunning views of Ravello and the unique beauty of Capri, every second was a dream. We left with full hearts and a serious longing to return to this magical part of Italy.
